Sleep = Happy

Last night was the first time in a long time both girls slept through the night completely. It was HEAVENLY!! I woke up in such a good mood. Livia and Brooke both woke up so happy also. It was sooooo nice!! It was such a good day too. We had so much fun together. Just doing the normal day to day things, grocery shopping, coloring, reading books, playing, etc. But for some reason we were all so much happier today.  I am pretty sure it is because we all slept well. When mom is happy, everyone is happy. Which also translates into; when babies sleep, moms sleeps, and everyone is HAPPY!
I am going to miss them so much next week. Especially when they are this happy.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Last Monday we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with the Rotars. We are so sad that they are moving. It has been so fun to live so close. The cousins have formed such a great bond. Especially Brookelyn and Cami. They are two peas in a pod. And Brennan is so good with both the girls. We are glad we have a few more months to fit in a ton of fun memories before the final departure to Boston.

It was a great day at the Aquarium because there was no one there. I could let Livy wander around because I could always see her. The last time Ben and I went with Brooke, it was so crowded I couldn't let Brooke even stop holding our hands, or we would've lost her.

My favorite exhibit is still the Jelly Fish, with the Penguins a close second. I am excited for the Sea Horse exhibit this spring. Elisha, we will have to go again with the kids before you leave. Livy loves the fish. She now points out fish whenever we see any.

After the Aquarium, The Rotars came over for dinner and cake with my Parents. My mom bought Cami and Brooke matching valentine shirts. They are really cute.

Brooke and Cami opening gifts from Nana.
Brookelyn excited to finally open presents!

The Jelly Fish exhibit. I wish i had a good camera just for that!!! It is awesome!
It is so nice when a baby sleeps. Even if they are being really good. I was just so tired of chasing her around. She is sooooo active, but so much fun!
Trying to get one picture of everyone. Livy just won't ever sit.
Cami and Brooke
The famous clam photo shoot!
Livy trying to be a whale with the flippers. It was the only shot I could get of her all day (Besides her sleeping.) She LOVED the Aquarium!

Brooke's Birthday

When we finally got to have Brooke's party (a week later because we were all sick), it was so fun. The girls decorated crowns (I got a bunch of burger king hats and spray painted them pink) and we made bead necklaces and decorated cupcakes. It was a great time, especially since Elisha and Amanda were there to help.  Here is a picture with all the girls with their crowns and beads.
I love this picture of brooke and all the girls helping her open her presents. Brooke has been so sensitive about other people's feelings lately. She is becoming quite the peacemaker. I told her after her party that it was nice of her to let everyone help her open presents, she said, "I didn't want to make anyone sad." I thought that was very thoughtful.

Here are a few pictures of how she looked the day of her birthday and for a few days after. She had a 105 fever for three days and just layed on the couch.

Brooke Eating Sand

Here is Brooke's first surfing attempt...maybe we should get her a surfboard instead of a boogie board!  When we asked her what happened afterwards, she said "I was just practicing!"  I asked "Practicing what?"  "Practicing surfing and I fell on my face!"

MLK Monday

The Monday of Martin Luther King Weekend we got to go the beach Natural Bridges with the Becks. It was so beautiful. I totally forgot to put in Brooke's bathing suit. (Actually, I didn't really think it would be that nice to that she would want to swim all day.) So she went in her underwear! And of all the days, she happened to be wearing white underwear that day.
We had such a great time. The weather was awesome. The tide pools were great! Brooke loved touching the anenome (sp?). Brooke and Jack had so much fun. Brooke even let Jack and Nate burry her in the sand. She loved boogie boarding until she tried to stand up and nose dived right into the sand. It was really bad. Luckily by the end of the day she wanted to try it again.

Livia loved ever bit of it as well. She is always happy when she is outside. It was a lot of fun to have Uncle Aaron with us too. I think this is one of my new favorite beaches!
